Remove the Mounting Bracket
In the next phase, you must remove the doorbell bracket from the wall. To take out the bracket, you have to detach the screws. When the screws are removed, the bracket will easily get disconnected from the wall. Keep the bracket sideways in a safe space as you reassemble the panel again afterward your work is done.
Disconnect Power Wires
When you take out the mounting bracket from the wall, you can see wires from the wall which are identified as power wires to supply current to the doorbell. Pull out all the wires and save them sideways to use again while you reinstall the doorbell.
Patch the Holes
With the mounting bracket removed, you might have holes in your wall. To patch these holes, you will need some spackle or putty.
